About
Marcus Perkins Bejarano is a Bolivian-American storyteller currently based in Los Angeles, California. As a musical comedy writer, he has co-written book, music, and lyrics for TWO NIGHTS & THREE DAYS (O’Neill NMTC Selection), ZOMBIES, INC. (Live & In Color), SIDE-HUSTLE (JMF Writers Grove at Goodspeed), and REFRESH (Without Walls Festival), which was produced as part of HALL PASS by Blindspot Collective in collaboration with La Jolla Playhouse; co-written lyrics and book for WAIT...ING (O'Neill NMTC Semifinalist); and contributed book, music, and lyrics to the virtual musical THIS GOLDEN DAY (Live & In Color). In addition to his work for the stage, Marcus has co-written music and lyrics for songs featuring characters from the popular video game GENSHIN IMPACT that have debuted at HoYoFair and amassed over 25 million YouTube views and 5 million Spotify streams to date (including a four-part animated series entitled FURINA: ALIVE). As a TV comedy writer, he is currently a Staff Writer for a new live-action show at Nickelodeon. Previously, he was a Writer-in-Residence at the Nickelodeon Writing Program and a Semifinalist in both the NBC TV Writers Program and Austin Film Festival. A graduate of the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, he also holds degrees from Princeton University and Stanford Law School.
